What makes freedom authentic

But freedom from what? And freedom to do or be what? We realize our desperate state and begin to strategically work our way out of financial bondage. It may take months, years, or even decades, but eventually we hope to balance our budget and move from being in the red to in the black. But, even if we accomplish our goal and attain financial freedom, particularly freedom from debt, have we really attained true freedom? In other words, does having no financial debt necessarily mean that we have attained financial freedom?

Not really. See, our hearts, which drove us into debt in the first place, remain unchanged. It may be the case, and unfortunately it often is, that as soon as we get out of debt, we plunge right back into it. Because our hearts see and desire something it cannot live without. So we buy it, and voila! So, if our hearts are not changed, neither will our behavior change. We act on our thoughts and behave according to our desires. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit… For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

The source of our actions is the heart. It is merely treating the symptoms rather than dealing with the disease. True freedom is only achieved when our hearts are changed, not when the books are balanced. The same can be said for political and verbal freedom.

Both are significantly good and should be advocated and protected, but they are peripheral freedoms in comparison to true freedom. True freedom occurs only in the heart when it is changed and made new. Freedom of speech, separation of church and state, the freedom to vote, the right to bear arms, etc.

The Constitution outlines what these freedoms are and our courts are responsible for upholding these liberties. We enjoy more freedoms and civil liberties than perhaps any other country in the world, but even with all of these external freedoms, are we truly free? From a spiritual and psychological perspective, however, freedom is not defined or experienced by what is outside of us, but by what is happening within. While we may enjoy certain civil liberties and appreciate the value of our freedoms, if we are inwardly struggling with anxiety, worry, fear, guilt or shame, we are not truly free.

If we carry within us the unhealed wounds and hurts of our childhood, we are not free. If we harbor resentment or envy toward another or laud our accomplishments, power or fame over another, we are not truly free. If we hold back our gifts or our truth or are hindered in our ability to be the person God created us to be, we are not free. If one always follows his conscience is that any different to the relationship of one who always follows his inner evils?

They are both compelled by internal forces. If one disobeys his conscience he feels guilt. Thus i am puzzled as to one is to live. I know that this comment was posted prior to the others but i would like a reply. The basic idea that Amerians are selfish is wrong, Americans give more to help eachother and the rest of the world than anyother country in the world. As for Americans beign ingorant and eating everything up on TV… Well I would have to state that that is a global issue.

I know many who are here in this country percisley because of what they saw on TV about America, thinking it is a country with streets pavd with gold. As for the ground zero issue, as a conservative, the issue is not weather they can build the mosque at ground zero, they can, the question is should they.

Two different issues. As Americans we should debate and think our way through the isssues at hand, our government should do our bidding and allow the republic to flurish.

Authentic Freedom is not and con not be doing as one pleases, but rather doing as one needs to do to care for self and others. Comments RSS. You are commenting using your WordPress. There is a huge difference between our concepts and reality.

You have concepts about yourself and about life. Although the real nature of life and the true extension of your being cannot be conceptualized. Our revealing new quiz will help you discover your hidden superpower and unlock your greatest gifts in life. Check it out here. When you stop trying to understand life, you start living it. When you move beyond your concepts and stop trying to define or catalog yourself, you find your true being.

What is authenticity? We lose the grasp with our authentic core once we start trying to define ourselves. Like life itself, we are in constant movement and transformation. Our dynamic nature cannot be put into words. We are a mystery which cannot be explained. The definition, the explication, the image we have of ourselves is what hypnotizes us and disconnects us from our authentic core. If you really want to find authenticity, you need to go outside of your thoughts. You need to go outside of that little box, that small and limiting hologram of yourself which you have created.

You must feel yourself and taste your soul. You are not only thoughts. You are emotions. You are instinct. You are a body. Thinking about your emotions, instinct and body only disconnects you from such an essential dimension of your being.

Feel your emotions without resistance, trust your instinct and value your body. Then you can ground in your basic nature and flow with the life which exists within yourself. Our mind is an essential component of our being. Our thinking abilities have led us to great accomplishments. Yet we are much more than our minds.

The voice in our minds is a mix of our own ideas and all the information we have been absorbing since the day we were born. But there is a silent intelligence in our bodies, which is the purest source of our being. This intelligence inside of you coordinates your body, emotions, and psyche. Imagine that every minute in your body, around million cells die while millions of new ones are born.

In a single day, this number peaks at around trillion cells dying and being born inside of you. These same cells create tissues, organs, body fluids and every element of your organized, synchronized and effective body.

Per second, your body processes around 37 thousand billion chemical reactions. There are more than 40 trillion bacteria participating in the miracle.

Can you organize and command any of this with your thinking mind? There is a much more powerful, profound and wise systemic intelligence coordinating your vital processes.
