Drink plenty of liquids and flush it out. I know it hurts but it helps. Several studies have come back and said they aren't as effective as once believed, and when I was pregnant with my second child I had a UTI but they couldn't find the bacteria because the AZO "masks" it.
They did find traces of blood in my urine and put me on an antibiotic anyway since I had all the signs of a UTI. They just couldn't see the bacteria because of the AZO. Definitely listen to your doctor. If both your doctor's office AND a pharmacist said no, they have good reason. If your doctor tell you you have a UTI they will give you antibiotics and if its not gone by the time u give birth they will give em to you via IV. Just wait.
